Powering Colorado's Jobsites Since 1972
Founded in 1972 by Terry Carpenter, Wylaco Supply Company has grown from a small, family-run operation into Colorado’s largest supplier of tools and specialty materials for contractors, municipalities, utilities, and individuals alike. With over five decades of service, Wylaco has built a reputation for outstanding customer service, deep industry knowledge, and an unmatched inventory of tools and equipment.
A Family Legacy Built on Service and Selection
From the very beginning, Wylaco set out to be more than just another supplier. What sets them apart? “We carry just about every kind of power tool for every kind of job,” explains longtime employee Will Eggleston. The company operates two major locations in Colorado: a sprawling block-long branch in Denver, and a 2.6-acre facility in Gypsum, which also houses a dedicated rebar bending operation.
Wylaco has also established itself as a Top 10 dealer of ICS products—a testament to their specialized knowledge and deep commitment to quality offerings.
And while the company has expanded and evolved, it remains proudly family-owned and operated. Founder Terry Carpenter still comes to work every day, leading by example with over 52 years of hands-on experience. Today, the next generation is stepping up: Katie Black as CFO and son-in-law, Frank Curry, as General Manager, are guiding the company forward, ensuring Wylaco’s legacy of excellence continues well into the future.
More Than a Store – A Trusted Resource
Wylaco is not just a retailer—they are a partner in success. Whether you need a rare part, rental equipment, or expert advice, their knowledgeable team is ready to help. As Will puts it, “We’re not just order takers—we take the time to learn about each customer’s job and suggest the best tools to get it done.”
Will has spent over a decade with Wylaco and is a key player in making sure the company lives up to its high standards. He works closely with both customers and employees to ensure they have the right training, tools, and parts for every job.
When it comes to ICS saws, Will is the go-to expert. “We’ve worked with everyone—from stone sculptors to contractors and even divers using these saws underwater,” he shares. “I show new users how ICS is safer and more efficient—reducing kickback, improving productivity, and avoiding downtime.” He also works closely with ICS Sales Rep Logan Fry, ensuring Wylaco stays well-stocked and well-informed.
A Company with Community Roots
Wylaco isn’t just invested in tools—they’re invested in their communities.
- The Gypsum branch is deeply involved with 4H programs and the local rodeo, supporting youth and local traditions.
- The Denver team supports local causes like Sammie’s Sunshine, a foundation that provides education and support for families affected by auto accidents and promotes seatbelt safety awareness.
Customer Connections That Last
Wylaco goes beyond transactional relationships. They host annual demo days every August, where vendors set up tents, showcase tools, and meet customers face-to-face. Regular lunch-and-learn events keep both staff and customers informed and engaged, strengthening community bonds and building trust.
Here’s what customers have to say:
- “Great customer service!”
- “Got product in short order, even after a long holiday weekend.”
- “Friendly and helpful at will call. If they don’t have it, they’ll find it.”
- “Knowledgeable staff who take the time to learn about the job and recommend the best tools.”
Kris Nylander of Alpine Gardens shares:
“Wylaco.com is a great resource for our landscape construction business. A wide variety of tools and equipment are required to get the job done efficiently; therefore, we lean on the website often for help finding what we need quickly. With the huge inventory at Wylaco, it's tough not to find what you're looking for. The prices are always competitive, and I know they will deliver in a timely manner once called upon. From backyard jobs to massive construction sites, Wylaco continues to prove that quality service, deep expertise, and a commitment to people—both customers and community—never go out of style.
